Product Overview

Callistemon viminalis 'CV01' PP #24,444
A new, slender, and carefree callistemon that makes a great hedge plant for tight spaces. A prolific bloomer, covered with classic bottlebrush spring and early summer. Heat-loving and highly drought tolerant when established, Slim™ is also a frost hardy evergreen and is not prone to leaf burn. High resistance to myrtle rust disease.

Planting & Growing

Thrives in average, lightly acidic, well-drained soil; avoid alkaline soils. Water deeply, regularly during first growing season to establish an extensive root system; reduce frequency once established. More drought tolerant in coastal areas; less tolerant in hot, arid regions. Apply fertilizer in early spring. Prune to shape after flowering.
