Product Overview

Cordyline 'Baueri'
A slender trunk topped by a striking, five-foot-wide crown holding clusters of rich, burgundy-red, sword-like leaves. Heat and drought tolerant when established in the landscape. A superb specimen plant for the landscape or patio containers. Evergreen in frost-free climates; treat as a summer annual or houseplant in cold winter regions.

Planting & Growing

Thrives in average to enriched, well-drained soils. Water regularly during first growing season to develop an extensive root system. Once established in landscape reduce frequency; water container plants when soil surface becomes dry. Apply a controlled release fertilizer in spring. Prune spent foliage as new leaves emerge.
