Product Overview

Cordyline australis 'Jel01' PP #18,545
Aptly named for its deep burgundy to rich chocolate foliage that forms a bold spire. This is the darkest of its species, and the foliage holds longer on the trunk than others. Provides a richly colored accent for both container and landscape gardens. A frost-tender evergreen; treat as an annual in cold winter regions or overwinter indoors.

Planting & Growing

Thrives in deep, fertile, well-drained soils; shelter from harsh winds. Water deeply, regularly in first growing season to develop root system. Once established in landscape water regularly during growing season; reduce frequency in cooler winter months. Water container plants when soil surface becomes dry. Move indoors before the threat of frost.
