Product Overview

Hydrangea serrata 'SMHSMAKF2MT' PP #30,020
Very large lacecap blooms stand tall, supported by strong, extra thick stems. Flowers will be blue in acidic soils, and more pink in neutral to alkaline soils. Compact mounded form is ideal for borders. Serrated leaves show touches of red and burgundy in the sun, as they age. An exclusive Monrovia 2017 introduction. Deciduous.

Planting & Growing

Prefers fertile, moist, well-drained soils. Apply mulch to keep root zone cool during summer. Water deeply, regularly in first growing season to establish extensive root system. Feed regularly during growing season. Prune to shape in midsummer immediately after flowering. Remove weak, winter-damaged stems in early spring.
