We’re loving our new backyard! Karen was wonderful to work with and designed a space we’ll enjoy for a long time. Ron and his team did such a great job on the actual hard scape and planting. From initial consult to finish in less than 3 months.

We could not be happier with the garden that Samantha from the Mission Valley, San Diego store designed. We had a lawn and hedge landscape that we wanted replaced with a Tuscan feeling landscape of drought tolerant plants. Samantha talk to us about a couple of ideas then presented a plan that incorporated all of our likes. When we asked for a few adjustments, she was happy to make them.
While the attached photo may look like a lot of bark, we are pleased that Samantha provided the perfect amount of space between the plants for them to grow without looking over grown.

I paid for my garden design on June 9, almost two months ago. I understood that the final plans would take some time to complete, and I was fine with that. However, I was told that I would receive an initial draft to review, and I never received it. It has been over a week since I was expecting that first draft, and I still have not received anything. I have called several times, left voicemail messages, and no one has returned my calls or provided any updates about my project. I am very disappointed with the lack of communication and customer service.

I don’t think you want me to give a rating because I have not heard back from him.

Caitlin and the landscaping crew were wonderful! The whole process was very thought out and went very smoothly.

The design for the front yard was perfection. Caitlin’s design looked great and the finished product was beautiful. She and the landscaping crew are a great team.

We enjoyed working with Matt and his design has completely transformed our yard. He is so knowledgeable about plants and came up with a design that we could never have imagined. There is variety and yet they all flow together like a beautiful Impressionist painting. Our neighbors all love the transformation as well.

Armstrong Gardens created our new landscape of our yard that only had grass and a lonely orange tree. Samantha, one of their highly educated and knowledgeable designers interviewed us about our priorities, habits and level of gardening abilities and created a beautiful design for a relatively low maintenance garden with fruit trees, herbs, vegetables and low water need climate appropriate flowering bushes, trees and other plants. She also was the project manager for the installation. The installers made a fantastic job executing the plans, everything worked on time as promised within the approved budget. We are very happy with the outcome. We highly recommend Armstrong Gardens for your gardening needs.

I felt rather rushed in the conversation. Karen did not appear enthusiastic and in fact she interrupted me at times and did state that she has other commitments and need to get through this as I was asking her perspectives pr was letting her know of my preferences. etc. she seemed more interested to sell plants than design landscape.

Megan is the best! She is super talented with a keen eye for design. Such a joy to work with. We are very happy with the results.

Samantha has done 3 plantings for me and understands what can and can’t be done in our climate. She is talented, engaged and a joy to work with. I will definitely use her for my next project!

Megan was absolutely the best to work with!!! From the very beginning, she listened carefully to what we wanted and brought our vision to life even better than we imagined. We wanted something more tropical and unique than the typical LA landscape, and she completely delivered. She selected such beautiful, interesting plants and created a design that feels lush, elevated, and so thoughtfully put together. Beyond being talented, Megan was also just so fun to work with — warm, excited, creative, and clearly passionate about what she does. I had a very positive experience using Armstrong landscaping design service. My front yard is in full sun and I wanted a more drought tolerant landscape. Our designer Caitlin was pleasant to work with. I gave a loose general description of what I wanted but Caitlin came up with a design plan that complimented my aesthetic preferences very well. I loved all the plants she thoughtfully picked out and coordinated.

The landscape contractor was referred by Armstrong and I'll admit, they cost a lot more than I anticipated but they provided great quality work and I'm glad I went with them.

Caitlin came back to oversee the plant installation and everything went smoothly. The results look great! I trust the work this team did will ensure the garden will thrive and look lush in a short amount of time. Everyone who has stopped by has praised my lovely new front yard.

Initial contact with Armstrong to completed project took about 12 weeks (this was also over winter holidays and weeks of heavy rain). I was satisfied with the pace and enjoying my garden now.

Armstrong has just completed my second renovation in 20 years. Samantha's design, plant choice, and execution has been perfect. She's knowledgeable, personable, listens and follows thru. We finished building/remodeling our home and moved in after two long years - now finally at fun part, landscaping! I did my own native garden at our previous home and had regrets on not doing enough research on sizes and placement. Our front yard was a jungle after five years and many plants didn’t make it. We wanted to do a native garden at our new home as well but I needed help. Thankfully I was assigned Christine as our designer and from the first meeting, it was kismet. Christine could take my crazy, all over the place ideas and desires and translate them into a cohesive garden of my dreams. She was always reachable and responsive and never annoyed at my indecisiveness or questions. I had a dream team with Christine and Finley Landscaping - John from Finley was just as kind, thoughtful, and made everything go smoothly. I am thrilled with my garden. We ended up booking two design fees to encompass our entire property and spent enough in plants to get both credited back to us. Armstrong was fantastic in sourcing all our plants and we really are so happy with the experience. We are looking forward to seeing our garden grow and evolve.
