Garden Consultation Service
Do you have questions about your garden? Have a tree or lawn that is underperforming? Or did you just move in and need to identify whats been planted? We can help. Our nursery professional will come to your home and walk the property with you to identify flowers, plants and trees, and discuss fertilizing, watering and pruning to achieve the most beautiful garden. We can guide you on diagnosing and eliminating weeds, diseases and pests.
The cost for this service covers two hours of our consultants time. If more than two hours are needed our consultant will let you know and extra hours can be purchased at a rate of $90 per hour.
I had to make many calls but was finally was able to schedule a landscaper ro come over. She knew about plants, daylight, pruning, eyc. But never checked my watering system or diagnosed the soil specifically. Her notes were generic and left me confused about which of the 5 areas areas we discussed. And she only stayed 1-1/2 hours of the 2 hour service. And she only suggested products to purchase instead of evaluating the ones i had already

What I think, is that your landscape department doesn't want to hear what I think. I requested a consultation 14 days ago, then I called after a few days, I tried to email - emails bounced back to me. I visited your La Canada store this past Saturday to ask about my request, was told that Brandon (the person to talk to) was just coming back from lunch (he walked right past me and I never saw him again). Once I got tired of waiting, I left my name and phone number for him to contact me. It is now Wednesday and I have heard NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! So, what I want to know is WHAT DO YOU THINK???

Like many reviews, I was never received any contact from Armstrong after paying $300 two weeks ago.
I called Jennifer in the Tustin store and had great advice and help with purchasing my plants, they delivered and will get plants installed this Thur. Will use them again for any other needs, thanks you
We had our backyard patio redone early this year and at the same time we also had our front yard refreshed with new plants. We worked with a reputable company that did an exceptionally excellent job with the patio and a fair job with the new plants.
Nevertheless, some of the plants recently started to die and the company that planted them had mixed messages about what to do. Too much or too little water, fertilizer or/and fungicide, etc... During this time, the plants were getting worse and worse.
We then signed up for this service and scheduled the visit.
Susan arrived in time, and we started to check every plant.
Susan clearly knew plants very well and immediately determined that we were watering too much even after reducing the amount of water from what we had been told. She also explained that the drips were pouring the water directly in the center of the plant and not in top of the roots. This was promoting rooting and diseases. And so and so plant after plant Susan inspected every plant and tree and gave us unbelievably valuable advice and tips to care about our garden. And Susan wrote down everything including suggestions for the products to use.
At the end of the visit, it was clear that we needed to change how we maintained our garden and that without the changes that Susan recommended most of the plants and trees would die or survive in poor shape.
We definitelly recommend Susan and this service. I have no doubt that it saved us a lot of money and time.
