Product Overview

Eugenia myrtifolia 'Monterey Bay'
A bold, lush appearance from a full-branching, richly colored, tall evergreen shrub. New growth remains reddish bronze over a long season. Creamy white brush-like flowers are followed by rose-purple fruit. Ideal for formal hedges and topiary, or planted in groups to create a dense, natural screen.

Planting & Growing

Prefers slightly acidic, well-drained soils, rich in organic matter. Water deeply, regularly during first growing season to establish an extensive root system; reduce frequency once established. Apply fertilizer before new growth begins in spring. Prune only as needed to maintain desired shape; as a topiary, prune regularly to maintain form.
