CJ Crockett is a Southern California native with more than 20 years of landscape design experience and a lifelong passion for plants. A Licensed Horticulturist, Master Gardener, and QWEL Certified Water Auditor, CJ blends her background in art history with extensive plant knowledge to create thoughtful, beautiful landscapes tailored to each homeowner.

A self-described “plant nerd,” CJ approaches every project with the same care and attention to detail, whether it’s a small garden refresh or a complete landscape transformation. She especially enjoys creating casual, relaxed outdoor spaces that complement the Southern California lifestyle. For CJ, the most rewarding part of the process is seeing her clients’ happiness when their finished landscape comes to life.

What inspired you to become a landscape designer? 

My background in art history, combined with a lifelong love of plants, naturally led me to landscape design. I love bringing those two interests together to create outdoor spaces that are both beautiful and thoughtfully designed.

What is your favorite outdoor feature?

Landscape lighting. I like to call it the icing on the landscape cake! It adds another dimension to the garden and lets homeowners enjoy their landscape well into the evening.
