Care

Planting & Growing

Thrives in organically rich, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. Handle with care when transplanting; gardenia roots are best undisturbed. Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system. Feed with an acid fertilizer after bloom. Keep roots cool with a thick layer of mulch.

Excellent quality plant

Very nice fragrance. Healthy and big plant. I bought 2 gallon pot and the plant is bigger than I expected. Very happy with the purchase. Will definitely buy again

milkweed

The milkweed has been planted and rapidly eaten by hungry, hungry monarch caterpillars. Yesterday, I purchased a few others, but I'm not putting them out until they get a little bigger. Sad about my caterpillars, but I can't afford enough milkweed to satiate them. My only issue with the milkweed was that even though I had purchased them online and they were set aside, when I went to big them up someone had sold them to another buyer. Fortunately, the store did have other ones.

The barrel was very sun worn and the bottom was rusted. I would not normally have accepted it in the let's say vintage condition. It looked nothing like the picture more like a year or two in the sun. It was the end result of what I was looking for so I did not return it.
