Essentials for Success

For flourishing plants, use potting soil for potted plants or planting mix for garden beds paired with Root Zone starter fertilizer is the perfect duo to foster robust root growth and minimize transplant shock.

Care

Planting & Growing

Watering:
The Ceropegia Woodii 'Silver' prefers to be kept on the drier side, so be sure to allow the top layer of soil to dry out between waterings. When you do water it, water it thoroughly and make sure to let any excess water drain away. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot. We recommend measuring the moisture of the soil with a moisture meter.

Light:
This plant thrives in bright, indirect light, but it can also tolerate lower light levels. Direct sunlight can scorch its leaves, so be sure to keep it away from windows that receive direct sunlight. If the plant isn't getting enough light, it may become leggy and lose its silver coloring.

Fertilizing:

During the growing season (spring and summer), feed your Ceropegia Woodii 'Silver' with a balanced, water-soluble or liquid fertilizer every two to four weeks. Be sure not to over-fertilize, as this can damage the plant. During the dormant season (fall and winter), reduce the frequency of fertilizing to once a month.

Repotting:
The Ceropegia Woodii 'Silver' prefers to be slightly root-bound, so it doesn't need to be repotted very often. When it does need to be repotted, choose a pot that's one size larger than its current pot and use a well-draining potting mix. Repot the plant in the spring, just as it's starting to grow again. Be sure to water it thoroughly after repotting.
