All trees include a tree stand. Starting December 26th, tree stands from purchased Armstrong Garden Centers Christmas Trees can be returned for a same day use transaction rebate.

I was disappointed with the quality of the tree. It started getting brown needles and dropping needles before I even got it in the house!

I order a tall (9 - 10') tree every year, and each year I feel that the tree selected for me is from the reject pile insteac of first choice. This year, the tree was clearly undersize. I asked them to bring a measuring stick. The tree had a top stick (without a single needle) sticking up about 9" from the last greenery on the tree. When they brought the measuring stick, the tree was 1" above the 9 foot mark. While technically within the specification I ordered, I looked at the guy helping me and said to him "Do you seriously think this tree is in the 9 to 10 foot range??". He looked at me shame faced and said let's go pick another tree. Why bother with ordering if you are going to get a second rate tree??

Last year I ordered my tree through Armstrong and, although somewhat expensive, it was worth it to me. A beautiful tree was picked out for me and when I picked it up the guys put the sleeve for the tree stand on the trunk, then placed it in the truck bed for me. So very easy. This year I decided to go through Armstrong again, and once again a beautiful tree. The young man who assisted me was very helpful and kind. Compliments to him. There are some reasons for the 4 stars versus 5 stars.

*I was notified before Thanksgiving that my tree was ready for pick up. Perhaps this was my fault for not specifying in the instructions that I wanted my tree after Thanksgiving. Before is too early. I picked up the week following Thanksgiving.

*Since the tree arrived so early I asked if I could have a tree was in the upcoming delivery. I am not sure if this tree is fresh. Usually for the first two weeks I am adding water twice a day. This tree goes several days before needing water.

*The young man took off the stand Armstrong had the tree in. I think it needed a fresh cut, as there was just the hole from the screw. Again, tree was not drinking up water.

*I have a sleeve the trunk of the tree goes into, and that goes into the tree stand. Last year the sleeve was put on the tree for me. I have arthritis and my hands are not strong enough to tighten the screws. This year I was told it was against policy for them to slide the sleeve on and tighten the screws.

Otherwise, I am quite pleased with my purchase.
