Features

Plumeria 'Pop's Red' features showy clusters of fragrant, rich red trumpet-shaped flowers at the branch tips from late spring through summer. Dark green foliage provides strong contrast all season. Leaves do not develop notable fall color. The fruit is not ornamentally significant.

Plumeria 'Pop's Red' will grow to be about 12 to 15 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 10 to 15 feet. It has an upright, open, slightly leggy habit with a typical clearance of 2 to 3 feet and is suitable for planting under power lines. Medium growth rate and long-lived under ideal conditions.

Grow in full sun for best bloom. Plant in well-drained soil; avoid waterlogged areas. Water regularly while establishing, then allow soil to dry slightly between waterings; drought-tolerant once established. Some tolerance to salt and urban conditions. Sap is irritating and toxic if ingested; use care around children and pets. Propagate by cuttings.
