Care

Planting & Growing

Provide organically rich, neutral to slightly acidic, well-drained soil. Keep roots cool with a thick layer of mulch. Water deeply and regularly during first growing season to establish an extensive root system. Once established, reduce frequency; tolerates mild drought. Feed with an acid fertilizer after bloom.

My impatiens died

My impatiens did not do well where I planted them in shade. This has likely more to do with their environment than the original quality of the plant from Armstrong, but I can't be sure. I wouldn't buy again.

Beautiful and healthy

My berry smoothie is beautiful and healthy, and still doing well 2 months later. It is starting to flower! Very happy with purchase.

Beautiful and fast growing vines

I bought the pink and the white bower vines last year to cover a masonry wall in our front yard. All the Bower vines are not only doing well but really thriving. I have them planted in an area that receives some afternoon shade but these vines are hardy. The variegated leaved on some of the bower vines are exceptionally beautiful. Armstrong is my go to nursery for all my p,ant needs. The staff are all so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. .

Took several attempts and calls to activate eGift Card but ultimately happy

I live outside CA and purchased an online gift card for a friend of mine who lives near your Center. When she went to use the gift card she was told there was a zero balance even though she hadn't used the card yet. I called the manager and she told me she would have to run it by corporate. I gave her the order number, my phone number and email. She told me she'd call the next day. She didn't call so I called her back and she told me that someone threw out the post it note that had the information on it so we started from scratch. She was off the next day and I was told by another manager that she'd call me first thing when she came in the following day. She didn't. I had to call again. This time she told me the issue had been resolved and everything was ok with the card. Why she didn't call to tell me that, I don't know? The upside is my friend was very happy with what she purchased once she was able to use the card. Thank you.

Little Pickles Succulent

I purchased a container of "Little Pickles" from my local Armstrong nursery about 2 years ago and it has grown and bloomed yellow flowers with such gusto! I find myself pinching off strands to place in other containers and it takes off nicely. I'm very pleased with this unique succulent and it gets lots of compliments, too.
