For flourishing plants, use potting soil for potted plants or planting mix for garden beds paired with Root Zone starter fertilizer is the perfect duo to foster robust root growth and minimize transplant shock.

Care

Planting & Growing

Provide rich, acidic, well-drained soil. Water deeply and regularly during first growing season to establish an extensive root system. In extremely hot, arid summer areas, best with some shelter from harsh, reflected afternoon sun. Before new growth begins, prune off twiggy growth, leaving only main stems to prevent overbearing.

So far, so good

I planted the 2 jasmine star plants in a planter and hope it will grow and crawl up the lattice. Using it as a privacy cover.

We could not be happier with the garden that Samantha from the Mission Valley, San Diego store designed. We had a lawn and hedge landscape that we wanted replaced with a Tuscan feeling landscape of drought tolerant plants. Samantha talk to us about a couple of ideas then presented a plan that incorporated all of our likes. When we asked for a few adjustments, she was happy to make them.
While the attached photo may look like a lot of bark, we are pleased that Samantha provided the perfect amount of space between the plants for them to grow without looking over grown.

Great for Carnivorous plants

I really like this for carnivorous plants (Venus Flytraps, Sarracenia, ETC). It is better if you mix this Peat Moss with some Perlite for proper drainage to prevent root rot. If you are buying this for carnivorous plants, I highly recommend, but please mix with perlite for optimal drainage (and please flush it out with DISTILLED WATER as there could be things that could damage your plants). Overall, I highly recommend!

Perfect porch table

This table is perfect for our two bamboo rocking chairs and the different shades of wood compliment each other nicely. It's also just the right height.
