Plumeria 'Apricot Rare' produces showy clusters of fragrant flowers in warm apricot to orange-peach tones at the ends of the branches from late spring through summer. Deep green foliage provides bold contrast throughout the season. Leaves do not develop significant fall color. The fruit is not ornamentally significant.

Plumeria 'Apricot Rare' will grow to be about 12 to 15 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 10 to 15 feet. It has an upright, open habit with a typical clearance of 2 to 3 feet and is suitable for planting under power lines. Growth is moderate and long-lived in ideal conditions.

Full sun is best for flowering and strongest color. Plant in well-drained soil and avoid standing water. Water to establish, then allow soil to dry slightly between waterings; drought-tolerant once established. Some tolerance to salt and urban conditions. Sap may irritate skin and is toxic if ingested; use care around children and pets. Propagate by cuttings.
