I really like this for carnivorous plants (Venus Flytraps, Sarracenia, ETC). It is better if you mix this Peat Moss with some Perlite for proper drainage to prevent root rot. If you are buying this for carnivorous plants, I highly recommend, but please mix with perlite for optimal drainage (and please flush it out with DISTILLED WATER as there could be things that could damage your plants). Overall, I highly recommend!
