Application Guide
Before Applying: Remove existing weeds, leaves, and other debris from the area. Level the soil and water plants as needed before applying mulch.
Recommended Depth: Apply approximately 2 to 3 inches deep throughout garden beds and landscaped areas for effective coverage, moisture conservation, and weed suppression.
Around Trees and Shrubs: Spread mulch evenly throughout the root zone. Keep the mulch several inches away from tree trunks, stems, and plant crowns to prevent excess moisture from collecting directly against the plant.
For Weed Suppression: Maintain a consistent mulch layer approximately 3 inches deep. Remove existing weeds before application for best results.
Maintenance: Periodically rake or fluff the mulch to refresh its appearance and redistribute material. Add additional cedar bark as needed to maintain the desired depth as the mulch naturally settles and decomposes.
Coverage: A 2 cu. ft. bag covers approximately 12 square feet at a 2-inch depth or 8 square feet at a 3-inch depth. Actual coverage may vary depending on application depth and site conditions.
