Planting & Growing

Thrives in humus-rich, acidic, moist, well-drained soils. Shelter from harsh sun exposures in hot summer areas. Water deeply, regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system; once established, maintain evenly moist soil. Keep roots cool with a layer of mulch. Feed with an acid fertilizer after bloom.

Very nice fragrance. Healthy and big plant. I bought 2 gallon pot and the plant is bigger than I expected. Very happy with the purchase. Will definitely buy again

milkweed

The milkweed has been planted and rapidly eaten by hungry, hungry monarch caterpillars. Yesterday, I purchased a few others, but I'm not putting them out until they get a little bigger. Sad about my caterpillars, but I can't afford enough milkweed to satiate them. My only issue with the milkweed was that even though I had purchased them online and they were set aside, when I went to big them up someone had sold them to another buyer. Fortunately, the store did have other ones.

The barrel was very sun worn and the bottom was rusted. I would not normally have accepted it in the let's say vintage condition. It looked nothing like the picture more like a year or two in the sun. It was the end result of what I was looking for so I did not return it.
