Application Guide
Before Applying: Remove existing weeds, leaves, and debris from the area. Level the soil or existing mulch before applying for a more even finished appearance.
Recommended Depth: For decorative ground coverage, apply approximately 1 to 2 inches deep. For improved moisture retention and weed suppression, a deeper layer may be used where appropriate.
Around Trees and Shrubs: Spread the bark evenly throughout the root zone, keeping mulch several inches away from trunks, stems, and plant crowns. Avoid piling mulch directly against plants.
For Walkways and Landscape Areas: Spread evenly across the prepared surface and rake into place to achieve the desired depth and appearance.
Maintenance: Periodically rake the bark to refresh its appearance and redistribute material. Replenish as needed as the bark naturally settles and decomposes over time.
Coverage: One 2 cu. ft. bag covers approximately 24 square feet when applied 1 inch deep. Actual coverage will vary depending on application depth and site conditions.
