Application Guide
Before Applying: Remove existing weeds, leaves, and debris from the area. Level the soil or existing mulch before applying to create a clean, even surface.
Recommended Depth: Apply approximately 2 to 3 inches deep throughout garden beds and landscaped areas for attractive coverage, moisture conservation, and weed suppression.
Around Trees and Shrubs: Spread bark evenly throughout the planting area while keeping the material several inches away from trunks, stems, and plant crowns. Avoid piling mulch directly against plants.
For Weed Suppression: Remove existing weeds before application and maintain a consistent mulch layer approximately 3 inches deep for best results.
Maintenance: Periodically rake the bark to redistribute the material and maintain an even appearance. Replenish as needed as the bark naturally settles and decomposes over time.
Coverage: A 2 cu. ft. bag covers approximately 12 square feet at a 2-inch depth or 8 square feet at a 3-inch depth. Actual coverage may vary depending on application depth and site conditions.
