Application Guide

For Repotting Orchids: Carefully remove the orchid from its existing container and gently remove old or deteriorated growing media from around the roots. Inspect the root system and remove dead or damaged roots as appropriate before repotting.

Planting: Select a container with adequate drainage and position the orchid at the appropriate height. Gently work the fine orchid bark around the roots, filling open spaces without tightly compacting the material. Orchid roots benefit from good airflow, so avoid packing the bark too firmly.

Watering: Water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain freely from the container. Watering frequency will vary based on the orchid variety, container, temperature, humidity, and growing environment.

Refreshing the Growing Medium: Orchid bark naturally breaks down over time. Repot or replace the growing medium when the bark begins to deteriorate, compact, or no longer provides adequate drainage and airflow.

Helpful Tip: Fine-grade orchid bark is particularly useful for orchids or containers that benefit from a smaller bark particle size. Always select a growing medium and watering schedule appropriate for the specific orchid variety.
