Application Guide
For Garden Beds: Spread peat moss over the planting area and thoroughly incorporate it into the existing soil before planting. Avoid leaving peat moss as a separate surface layer.
For Containers: Blend peat moss thoroughly with an appropriate potting soil or planting mix before filling containers. Peat moss should be used as an amendment rather than as a standalone growing medium.
For New Plantings: Mix peat moss evenly with the surrounding soil before planting to help improve moisture retention around the root zone.
Moistening Before Use: Dry peat moss can initially resist water. Lightly moisten the material before mixing to make it easier to incorporate evenly into the soil.
Watering: Water the planting area thoroughly after application. Continue watering according to the needs of the plants and local growing conditions.
Helpful Tip: Peat moss is particularly useful for increasing the moisture-holding capacity of soils and planting mixes that tend to dry out quickly.
